What is the GED?

The GED (General Educational Development) is a high school equivalency test recognized by employers and colleges nationwide. It covers four subjects and proves you have the same knowledge as a high school graduate.

Math: Arithmetic through algebra and geometry
Science: Life science, physical science, and earth science
Social Studies: U.S. history, government, and geography
Language Arts: Reading comprehension and writing skills

Who Can Enroll?

You are eligible if you:

  • Are 18 years or older (or 16-17 with special permission)
  • Do not have a high school diploma
  • Are not currently enrolled in high school
  • Live in Washington State
